How long do i have to wait for undercoat to dry before I can gloss?

  1. Oil based undercoat 24 hours, water based when its dry to the touch


  2. It usually does what it says on the tin. Always good to read the instructions. If you're using an acrylic undercoat, it usually takes less time to dry,but acrylic paint is not ideal for outdoor use.    

  3. If it is a water based paint usually two hours. If it is oil-based, usually sixteen hours between coats.

  4. However long it takes to dry!
