I currently have a 2 year old. I'm now pregnant with my 2nd child. When i give birth to this child, my son will be 3 years apart from my new born... I think that 3 years is a very big gap. The plan was for my children to be no more than 2 years apart.

  1. I thnik 3 years is a very good span between children. My 3 youngest siblings are all a year apart. I swear it was like having triplets in the house. Especially now that they are 5, 4, and 3. And having childrens so close is alot harder on your finances...

  2. doctors will advise you to wait atleast a year to get pregnant again to ensure the healthiest pregnancy possible. however this will still leave a 2 year gap between children. you can technically get pregnant as soon as doctors tell you its ok to have s*x again (which is about 6 weeks later) and your kid will be fine but so that your body has time to heal and recover they say to wait a year.

  3. They say it takes your body 2 yrs to recover from a normal pregnancy and wait 3 years if you delivered prematurely .

  4. my kids are 3 years apart also and its great...they still have things in common but not every little thing....it will be wonderful...no worries!

  5. 2 yrs...give your coochies room to breathe ladies!

I didn't like your last Q.  Don't be so judgemental.. teach your kids to love their kids the same not everyone's plans turn out how they want them to and to be married IS the right way but some poeple or couples choose to wait  or the get pregnant by mistake when they least expect to so...u don't know...

  6. I got pregnant when my sweet baby girl was 1 month!

  7. after your doctor does the post check up he can tell you if it is good to try again my second baby was 5 months when i got prego with my third.

  8. My belief is that, if you are breastfeeding without supplementing formula, and you become pregnant, then it's not too soon.  Of course, I also believe that God designed our bodies, and that it's He that opens the womb.  So, that's a heavy influence on my opinion.

My first four children are 23 months apart, the fourth and 5th will be just under 19 months apart.  So, 3 years does sound like a lot to me!  A friend of mine has 5 children, 12-16 months apart.  My sister-in-law has 19 months between #1 and #2 and 12 months between #2 and #3.  Neither had any complications as a result of close pregnancies.

  9. you should wait at least three months to give your body time to recover. You should wait until you have the second child and then make your decision.

  10. well my partner and his siblings are all 16 months apart, his brother his sister then him. I am 3 years older then my brother and we always got along fine, 3 years is a good gap as they kids can understand more. I am 8 years older then my sister though and that is way too big a gap in my opinion, by the time I was 13 i wanted nothing to do with her and she was just the annoying brat sister. 3 is great and not too much so i wouldnt worry about it and you can't change it now anyway.

  11. I know a woman who had a baby and waited 6 weeks before going to a pre op check to have her tubes tied, however, when she got there, they told her they could not do it because she was already pregnant again.

  12. You are very able to get pregnant right after having a baby.  My aunt had my cousin in may, and returned to her doctor for her six week checkup only to find out that she was pregnant again!  My cousins are less than a year apart.  So, if you are trying to get pregnant, than it might be a plus for you, but if not...be careful!

  13. You are very fertile after you have a child. You could get pregnant as soon as the Dr. allows you to start having s*x again.!
