  1. They'll probably settle down in 1 week

  2. Age--

    6 weeks==4 days

    7 weeks==5 days

    8 weeks==6 days

    You need a loft for your birds it needs an indoor/outdoor area. Out door must be caged  to keep preadators such as Raccoons,possums, hawks  maybe your neighbors cat as well.Roosts are imporent to these birds since they like to be high above the ground. They need to be fed 2Xs a day.

    Once a pair mate they do so for life. The female will lay 2 eggs (white) then the two will take turns sitting on , the male during the day and female at night its 19 days after female lays 2nd egg for these to hatch.The time limits above is for the birds to acquaint themselves to their surroundings. At expiration period and about 3 or 4 o'clock in the afternoon but NOT when its raining,snowing,fog,or mist prevailing and before the birds have there afternoon feeding the traps of their homes should be opened and the birds allowed to go out of there home on there own intiative. It is Fatal to drive the birds out of loft If driven they will fly wildly and without knowledge of country surroundings around the loft.They will loose them selves and fail to return. Birds will not go far! Will perch on a landing or edge boards will make a few short flights returing each time venturing further each time.

    On 1st day your birds should be fed lightly in the morning this is so appetites assist in bringing them back to loft after 1st flight.

    2nd day open trap about 12:00 (noon) and allow birds to go out on own again,let fly around  loft for about 11/2 hrs then call birds back  by rattle can  and give feed  again a light amount  just enough  to let know the reason for being called in another flight should be allowed before feeding time.

    3rd daythe trap should be opened before morining feed  and allowed to fly again for 1/2 hr then call in again with rattle can regular amount of feed should be fed this time what they will eat all in about 10 mins. Afternoonabout  4or 5 o'clock depends on weathergive birds another flight being fed as before after call in. NEVER feed any where but the loft area!!!

    Never let birds end up on the ground or feed there!!Keep around the loft, Never leave bird out for long periods of time and Never alobne unless caged.Always call birds in with rattle can and always give feed after they return.

    After the birds learn this and are doing well you can try the toss methord, which has to be done 1 bird at a time and enough time for each bird to locate its own corse or direction and flight.
