  1. Depends upon whether it is disputed or denied. A friend of mine had a valid claim where his employer (A local Council) admitted liability, but only part liability, and it dragged on for 6 years!  in the end the £60,000 payout his Lawyers estimated he would get finally became under 8 grand.

  2. Mine took about six months, but I was also told by my solicitor that it can take up to, but not more than, three years.

  3. I had lorry run into back of me I ended up in hospital with muscle damage in my neck and back and on going physiological problems!! That took me 3 years to settle even with a police witness (he was driving the other way when it happened so he saw it all!!) but it was worth the wait as I got £7500 !!!!!!

  4. i dont know but i just consulted a lawyer about mine and he said there is no law about how long they can take to investigate...at least in my state..may want to check your state laws.

  5. this is a tricky one, first of all you need legal representation if the second party i:e the employer accepts full or part of the claim it can sometimes be settled out of court.this will take anything between three and twelve months.if it drags and the second party argues the case it could take up to three years to get to court.the insurers can drag there feet over partially to blame reasons. If your solicitor has advised you on making a claim you should stand a good chance of winning as they don"t normally take on a case unless you have a solid enough claim.

  6. if you are claiming compensation of a company and thay admit liability then it could be over in 6 months if thay say thay are not liable then any thing up to 3 years
