How long do internships/volunteer positions usually last?

Question

I need to do both for a course I'm taking at school. I can only do one for about a month, the other I might need for an entire school year. How long do internships and volunteer positions usually last?

it depends!!.. normally through a season, or as long as they want to keep you there!!..

They usually last about a semester or two which is 4 months or 8 months.
