How long do it take your period to come after stop taking provera 10mg pills.

Question

My Gyn prescribed me provera 10 mg pills to start my cycle regular again because they were irregular. I was on the provera pills for 7 months before my Gyn told me to discontinue them because I was explaining to her that I wanted to have a baby. My periods were on time every month when I started taking the provera pill.I had unprotected s*x with my fiance around my fertile time.Since I stopped taking the provera pill I didn't see my period yet. It's been four days late now since I didn't see my period. If I was to start the provera pill again I would probably see my period. Is all of this happening because I stopped taking the Provera pill or could there be a chance I could be pregnant. I took 4 pregnancy test and they came out negative. I don't know if I took the pregnancy test too early. I'm having some symptoms of pregnancy. I don't know if it's the side affects from me stopping the provera pill or there could be other problems going on.Will my period be regular again or do I have to start the provera pill again?This is driving me crazy.

The first time I took Provera and I never got a period (I wasn't pregnant either).  The second time I took Provera I got my period about 4 days after my last pill.  They say it can take up to 2 weeks for your period to start, and if it doesn't start by then, the Provera didn't work to bring on a period.  If you are worried about being pregnant, go get a bloodtest to check all your levels, and if you are in the clear, take the Provera to bring on a period.  I am guessing your doc prescribed it since you are not ovulating, and therefore not having a period on your own.  If you are trying to get pregnant, Provera won't help.  You should ask about getting on clomid.  Goodluck and baby dust to you!!!

id wait a couple days & retest .  i think the timing for your period after provera differs. i got mine just after 2 pills.
