How long do li-ion batteries last for 10mp cameras?

Its very hard to answer that its a bit like how long is a piece of string, if you turn off the screen and use the view finder than much longer, if you do not use flash then longer again, leaving your camera on will reduce the time, and looking at the pictures you have just taken ( not possible because you want to see them)
