How long do most people keep their cars?

i'm doing a report on whether it makes financial sense to buy a hybrid, and it depends on a few factors, including how long you'll keep your car. PLEASE HELP ME!!!

I am going to keep my car til I die...so maybe a lifetime. I am never going to get a new car unless mine dissapears(unlikely).
