How long do packages take to get thru customs/does USPS really update the tracking daily?

My package has been in customs (incoming) since the 30th at 1:44 pm. Alas, this was not updated until the 31st... so my package could be out of customs, perhaps? Any postal workers? Thanks!!!

It will stay there until cleared for Import by US Customs.

Tracking and Confirmation information is indeed updated every evening. Consider that if there is no scan event, there is nothing to update. So, your scan event on the 30th, was uploaded on the evening of the 30th, and was available to be viewed on the 31st.

You're not going to see updates without any scan being done. You are not going to see each day, Still in Customs or anything of the sort.

There should be a scan event for when the item clears customs. Then the next event should be a Delivery Scan event.

Keep in mind that the ISC receives millions of items on a daily basis. It can take some time. You don't mention what you are waiting for or where it is from. There may be Duty that is due, or certain items do incur an import tax. That all depends on what it is and where it came from.

I send my packages to Afghanistan for my husband and they usually get there in 2 wks.. and being that its only been 2 days.. they prob havent sent it out of country yet. Makes sure w/e u send.. get the package insured and keep all receipts for "proof of purchase". The longer it has taken for my package was a mth.. but i think it got lost in the mail.
