Question:

How long do small flies live?

Okay, I'm getting a little frustrated. There's this fly, thats not big enough to find easily, and too big to be ignored- and its practically living at my computer.

I have slight issues with insects, they freak me out. So whenever I come to the computer (often) I'm stuck twitching and slapping at the air. Arg..

Its been here for a week or so, and I always thought small insects didnt live that long? It hasnt remained in my sight long enough for me to kill it (sorry, insect lovers. I'm losing my patience...) so I have to wait for it to die.

How long is that exactly?

Thankyou,

x Caroline

  1. As long as you don't provide it with any food (any crumbs, anything left over) around all it's going to be attracted to is probably your monitor light.  Make sure your area is clean of any droppings of crumbs of juice/food/soda/ice cream/so on.  Now, i'm not sure how long it'll live, but there's a way to try and get it away from your area!

  2. Life span is typically about 2 weeks. Experiments have shown that some however may have certain mutations which allow them to live a bit longer.

  3. If it is a house fly it will last no more than 3 weeks.  I do not like bugs either.  If want it gone fast leave the room and set off a flea bomb for quick resulsts!!!!!!!!!!

  4. like a day :)

  5. Now what i have heard...just heard 48 hours...Not long. But i guess they do not care...You can use a fly-swatter...(sorry about the insect lovers also)...But do what you have to do. Do what is best for you!!!

  6. I depends upon there body mechinary.
