How long do speeding tickets stay on your record in Wisconsin?

just criminal, not really worried about insurence ...im tryaing to become a notary for my job and i have to know whats on my record and that isnt showing up anymore...

  1. i think it's typically 3 years.


  2. Normally up to five years on a DOT record.

    But why are you worried? A traffic ticket is just that, a ticket for a violation of traffic laws, not a crime!

    So don't worry about it.    

  3. Traffic tickets will ALWAYS be on your record.  A normal check of your record only shows 3 to 5 years.  Speeding tickets will probably NOT effect becoming a Notary.  The BEST way to find out what actually shows on your record is to pull it yourself.
