Question:

How long do surface piercing last?

I'm turning 18 soon and to honor the memory of me breaking my lower back (instead of a tattoo) I wanted a piercing on my L5 (the part I shattered) But I heard they only last about 2 years before "backing out" Any advice on how to reduce the risk of backing out and anything else?

  1. Well, surfacing piercings reject no matter what. It just takes time. It can reject as soon as 5 months. Theres not really any certain time set for them.

    You could get microdermals.

They look like surface piercings. They do tend to hurt a little more to get done.

But its way less likely that they will reject.

    hope I helped.

    good luck. :]

  2. umm... no offense on this, but y do u want to remember that?

  3. PIERCINGS R DIFFERENT FOR EVERYONE, MY FRIEND TAKES CARE OF HERS ALL THE TIME N HERS GET EXTREMELY INFECTED N I NEVER TAKE CARE OF MINE N THEYRE PERFECT. ALSO, HER PIERCINGS STAY IN LONG WHEN SHES ALWAYS TUGGING ON EM N BEING ROUGH ETC. N I TREAT MINE LIKE THEYRE BABIES N SOME OF MIND FELL OUT ALREADY SO DONT GO BY OTHER'S EXPERIANCES. ALL BODY ART IS BEAUTIFUL SO IF U WANT IT DONE, GET IT DONE UR NOT LOSING ANYTHING JUST GAINING BODY ART N IT WONT BE A WASTE OF TIME/MONEY CUZ U TRIED N IT MOST LIKELY WILL LAST
