How long do the 2008 summer Olympics last? ?

I heard somewhere that it is 4+ weeks, but my dad says its only 1 week. Help please!

  3. My friend, the Olympics lasts for 16 days. It will in on August 24th.

  4. It lasts 17 days. It started Friday, August 8, 2008 and ends with the closing ceremonies on Sunday, August 24, 2008. And if the closing ceremonies are anything like the opening, it's going to be fantastic.
