How long do the clothes at mervyns, target, sears, and ross generally last?

How many washings can the clothes from family / discount stores like these go through before they generally look too ragged to look wearable by a decent human being ?

How long do the clothes last you when you get them there?

I've had clothes I've purchased at those stores last me for years. They are not poor-quality clothing just because you're buying them for a cheap price.

mines lasted 6minits were they tore themselves off of me and ran back to the shop..were they charged me again! (true story)

they are good quality clothes. i shop at all the places u just listed and i love them all. i dont really trust walmart clothes but target and mervyns are the best. i have 4 children and that is where i buy all of their clothes. i just shopped at mervyns today for my nephew's bday

I have a couple shirts that I have bought from that store.. they last pretty long.. maybe 2-4 years depending on how often you use... I play sports so it starts to wear away in a couple years...  they are great value!

Men's clothing is generally designed to last longer than women's clothing.

So, if you'll shop thrift stores and yard sales for designer duds, you'll find you get a better price AND better brands.

WATCH OUT for designer-looking brands (ie No Boundaries, Faded Glory) in thrift stores that are priced higher than they originally sold for.

How many washings? Wash it once, and it's no longer new.

I'm editing this to tell you this: Beware of children's clothing. I had a 5-year-old stepson who had "all the latest" from Old Navy. If you ever tried to fold them symmetrically, the seams never met. They are very cheaply made (sweatshop???), and are designed to wear out B4 the child outgows them.

I love ross clothes... i have clothes, jeans and what not that i bought there in high school and im still wearing them 4,5,6 years after i purchased them.
