  1. Oldest Rat: The oldest rat on record lived to the ripe old age of 7 years and 4 months. The normal rat age span is 3 years.

  2. the oldest  rat lived for about 7 years thats verylong for a rat there average life span is about 3 years or so

  3. Depends where you got the rat.

Breeder rats vary... however, if you get a rat from the pet store, especially a feeder rat, the lifespan will unfortunately be significantly shortened, more likely than not. Pet store rats (especially feeder rats, as I said,) are usually of the same bloodline as lab rats - who are deliberately bred to be subsceptible to illness, often developing tumors early in life.

  4. my rat lived for over 6 years!!

    RIP Felix

  5. my x wife is 42.and if she keeps going on about more maintenence i dont think she will get past 43,

  6. i'm not sure on the oldest rat but on average rats live from 18 months to 2 years. so i have been told.
