How long do tryouts usually last?

Fooball tryouts.. And what do they have you do there.

It depends on what level your trying out for (i.e. Middle School, Highschool, College)

It really depends on your school program. The coach will ask what position you wanna play or what positions you are good at. Then you will go through the workouts and drills that go with that position. If you do good then you will make the team, if you don't do good then expect to be handing your teammates water.

Well lengthwise it depends on how many people are trying out.

They normally have you do simple things you see in football.

I don't really know much about football but that is what suspect
