Well it depends on your body tolerance and how much u use. I had purple drank wit a half of a tablespoon of robotussin. It took a long time for me to feel anything but it felt good when it kicked in. I'd say it lasted about an hour. No don't walk around parents because u will be babbling, slurring words, moving real slow, acting kiddie, and falling asleep in awkward places (eg:walking, talking, e tc.)

The length of the high depends on how well your body takes to it. Just about everyone has different lengths of time that they stay high off it. I would not go around my parents if I was on it, but thats just me talking.
