How long do we have to wait???

we just built a deck using treated wood, does anybody know how long we have to wait to stain or seal it?????

its a matter of preferance.... U can stain it right away if U like.... or let it for a couple of months to "weather" a bit!!!

When we had a deck built at our last house, using Heart Redwood...the company we used sealed it within a few days of completing the construction. Had to be a sunny day to dry quickly as we lived at the beach. It was a beautiful super large deck with a step in 9 ft  covered spa. 40 ft wide X 30ft deep 6 ft wide steps for accessing the rest of the deep back yard.

If done. Go ahead and seal it now. The sooner the better befre the rainy season starts. If you like the natural color of the wood, just get a sealant. If you want to change the color, then get a combo stain/sealant. Up to you.
