How long do wedding ceremonies go for and is it possible to make it to two weddings in one day?

I got two good friends who are getting married and just my luck are getting married on the same day and even more, one is getting married at 1.30 pm, the other is getting married at 2.00 pm, i've said yes to both as the one friend is someone i've known since high school and the other i've worked with for the last 5 yrs so had to say yes to both, the good thing is that the where they are getting married are only bout 5-10 mins apart, one's in a church, the other in a nature reserve,but not sure how long the ceremony goes for and if it possible to make the two or have to miss out on one, excluding the reception.

depends on the religion. if its christian, expect 20-35 minutes. catholic... you better plan on sitting there for 12 hours.

they go about an hour. no way you can make it to both.

What I would do is go to one ceremony and the other reception....its not bad to leave early at all from a reception....you give as much of your time as you can...they should be grateful you came at all!

You could do it but you're probably going to have to miss some of the first ceremony, and even then you're going to be rushing to the next ceremony.  Also remember that weddings usually don't start on time, so the 1:30 wedding might start at 1:45 and you'll have no idea whether the 2:00 one will start on time or not.

you are NOT going to make both and thats a horrible thing to be leaving mid church or mid reception.

what you should do, is go to the church of one, and the reception of the other if you cant just choose one.

It depends on the religion short to very long ... You might want to pick the wedding and go to the other's reception, making it for both ... I think they would understand ... Having to leave a wedding is NOT accepted, BUT having to leave a reception early is totally OKAY ... it's not like your a player in either wedding right?
