How long do you have to run on an eliptical trainer to burn fat?

i recently got an eliptical trainer, and i want to lose fat in my legs. i plan to run on it everyday...but for how long do i have to run per day to burn fat?

is 20 minutes good enough? or does it have to be longer?

  1. the longer the better! if you really wanna lose significant weight then i'd be looking more at 2+ hours a day.

    Try going on long walks. Maybe go exploring in some nearby areas. Can be fun! Or go for a nice long bike ride. Will definately be more fun that training indoors.

    10mins indoors feels like 1hour outside alot of the time


  2. Well, you definitely have to run more than 15 minutes before fats start to get burned. The best is to run 30 minutes, take a 3 minute break, and then go back for another 30 minutes. Note that when you are taking the 3 minute break, do not sit down as you will get a big bum if you do.

  3. i usually go for 30 minutes.

    theres a mode called weight loss

    that i use & it goes for 28 minutes and has a 5 minute cool down.
