  1. Just get the list done. No lectures from me.

  2. if you're almost finished already then you're on a roll! Good for you!! You have about 6 weeks after the wedding or if you go on a honeymoon, 6 weeks from your return date. Good luck and good job!!! and no, its NOT until your first anniversary! Thats insane!!!

  3. I believe you have up to one year, because guests can send gifts any time between hearing of your engagement and your first anniversary. But I think it's polite to send within one to two months after you return from your honeymoon.

  4. Old school rules say you have until your first anniversary for wedding gifts. However, anything more that about 2 or 3 months and people start to wonder. I have found it is best to get them done asap because the more you drag it out the harder it is to get them finished.

  5. In a month

  6. You have a bout 2 weeks under a good etiquette rule so dont worry

  7. you shouldn't wait longer than 3 months.

    congrats!!

  8. i'd stay straight after the honeymoon ... but not longer then 3 months after the wedding. i agree making those general thank you for coming things before the wedding without thanking the person for the specific gift is really lame

  9. you have no time at all, there is no reason for any delay in sending out thank you's immediately after the honeymoon.  unless you had so much fun you ended up in jail, or went to a foreign country and got Malaria or something, send them out ASAP.

  10. The sooner the better. The smart thing would have been to write the cards before the wedding, but who has time for that?  I think you've done great getting them out in a week.  If anyone complains, send them to me.  I'll be more than happy to straighten them out for you.

  11. That sounds great, good for you. I was going to say within a month so you're good!

  12. Your just fine. I think usually within a month or so is appropriet. Congrats!

  13. a month

  14. I could be wrong but I think you are supposed to send them no later than 2 weeks after you get home from your honeymoon. By the way, congrats on the marriage :)

  15. I believe the etiquette books say a year. I sent mine out as I received gifts. Don't worry you still have time but make it a priority.

  16. You've got a few weeks.. People understand you wont be writing thank you notes during your honeymonn, you'll be "busy" with other stuff.. As long as you send them.
