  1. Good luck after finding a job.  There's roughly 500 applicants at least for every job opening in CT.

  2. For most states a teaching license can be earned simultaneously with a bachelors degree (about 4 years), but some states require a masters degree (about 6 years). Also, if you get your degree out-of-state from where you will be teaching you may need to complete additional coursework to qualify for a license in the new state, and if you want to be able to teach more than one subject you might have to take extra courses.

  3. four years, you need a bachelors. but if you get certified after graduation then that will mean another year of training to get certified but not necessarily college.

  4. Typically it is a four year program; however, when you complete the course work is how long it takes. I know of some teachers that finished in three years. Personally, I worked in college and I did not attend summer school so it took me five years.

  5. In New York state you need to get your bachelors and masters degrees. So, depending on how you take your masters program, it is at least 5 years.
