  1. Hi Anonykris,

They told me one year for a complete new install that was being promoted as free.

    Norm

  2. Called support.... 30 days

  3. Once you've had DirecTV services you are always considered a customer. They will reactivate your old account with current programming packages. If you are found to be activating a new account and taking advantage of the new customer offers, even under a spouse's name, there could be serious penalties.

IF, however, you were a good customer and have had your services disconnected for a year you may be eligible for a comparative WINBACK offer. The only way to find out for sure is to call customer service and mention that you are looking to restart programming.

Be warned, though, that if you weren't a good customer (such as always paying bills late, constant EFT reversals, an outstanding balance, or DirecTV disconnected your services due to non-pay among other conditions) you will need to pay a lot of money to restart your services (equipment leasing, no programming discounts, etc.).

  4. After 5 years they purge their old records.

  5. 5 to 7 years to be considered a NEW cust....less if you change addresses, last name ,& phone number
