I am currently 7 months pregnant and I want to enlist in the army. I have my husband's support and I am looking forward to it, but I am wondering how long I have to wait until I am allowed to enlist after the baby is born.

  1. To guest 6171 u are an idiot my mother had me and my sister while she was active duty so if the army is as bad as you describe it then it has become worse over the years no doubt because of people like you. Both my parents were active duty army as well as two of my brothers and my oldest sister, none of them describe the army that u speak of and they have all been deployed at least twice my sister has been deployed four times and rape has never been an issue so I think it's just you and the company u keep or perhaps that's even your mo.  Your sick and a disgrace to many men in the military profession that hold themselves to a higher level of respect. Personally I do not think you will last long at all.

After having a baby the only two things you should consider is whether you are healthy enough after delivery to undergo basic trainning the second is you need to consider the fact that you will be separated from your family for an unknown Amount of time. You need to decide if you are capable of not being around your baby, plans will change and getting leave is difficult and always subject to change. Good luck with your decision, and when talking to A recruiter make sure to get everything in writing or you will be in for a few disapointments.
