How long do you have to wait between the color coat & clear coat?

It depends on many factors. How hot it is, what's your reducer, How long the manufacturer recommends...

Usual rule of thumb is fifteen minutes give or take. But if it has completely flashed off and can be touched without printing or smearing with a tack cloth, your good to go.

It really depends on the type of nail polish,

but like probably no longer then like 10 minutes for sure...

just make sure that it's not TOO wet when you put on the clear coat:)

To the first answerer,he was talking about a car you idiot! Anyway,to the asker: you need to wait at least 15 minutes,depending on the ambient temperature.The ideal ambient temp is about 70-80 degrees,and you don't want to paint on a humid day.
