How long do you have to wait for an organ transplant?

I think it depends on the organ that you are waiting on (some organ wait lists may be longer) and also your blood type and stuff like that.

It actually depends on your condition a great deal.  I know someone who was moved to the top of the list because his condition had worsened to the point where he would die within six months.  

Blood type and availability play a part as well.
