  1. It depends on where you get the tattoo (where on your body).  Yes, it is true that you can do just about anything shortly after getting them, but you want to take care of it and want it to stay in good shape.  Use plenty of non-scented hand cream on it until after it peels.  You want to make sure you don't soak it in water for at least two weeks after getting it - so that means no swimming.  Showering and bathing is okay if you don't sit in the tub for a long time; showers are best.  Certain parts of your body will be more sore than others.  So, it depends on your comfort level and what sport you are playing.  Mostly, you can go right back to your sport unless it is swimming or something done in the water.  For track, it shouldn't be a problem unless it is in a place that stretches your skin too much and makes the pain unbearable.  Also, make sure you keep it out of the sun or it will fade.

  2. It feels like a sunburn. So if you can run and do hurdles with a sunburn on your butt then you should be able to do those things with a tattoo there.

  3. well seeing as its not a contact sport you should be fine. make sure to keep it clean since youll be sweating a lot. but if youre getting it on your foot or ankle id wait atleast 2 weeks to go running

  4. it wont matter. ive got 5 tattoos and you can still do everyday things even 20 mins sfter getting it done.

  5. My boyfriend and I actually spoke to a tattoo artist about this situation yesterday because he does baseball and he is going to start practice soon.

You are recommended not to do any extreme cardio/exercise/anything that causes you to sweat within a week of getting your tattoo.

The reason why is because when you work out, you sweat and your blood gets pumping, heart beating faster. This might cause the blood to seep out of your tattoo because it is like an open wound. Then the blood might push out the ink out of your skin.

    Hope this helps.
