I just started working at Wal-Mart yesterday. I am working to save money so i can move out of this dead end town. i am moving in july or august. was wondering how long i have to be employed to apply for a transfer? Because if i can't i am going to put in my 2 weeks notices when i know i am going to move.

(sorry i am not very good at putting my thoughts into words)

  1. Six months.

  2. i would've probably asked that during the hiring pocess, but when i worked there (aout 8 yrs ago), as long as the location you're moving to has openings, and you've completed training, you shouldn't have a problem

  3. 6 months is the policy.... it is likely that you could be hired at the Wal-Mart in your new town if you have done well at your current store and your manager tells the new store that your a good worker.
