How long do you keep your old magazines?

Hi,

i read OK!, Hello! and other magazines, usually i keep them till the next issue comes out and then toss them in the bin, how long do you keep your magazines for?

My granddad had a massive stack of National Geographic magazines dating back from 1950!  I inherited that from him when he passed away about 2 years ago.  During that time up to 2006, 672 magazine have been published.  He collected about 400 of them!!  That stuff must be worth a lotta money, but I'll never give it away.
