  1. I don't like mine strong so i leave it in for about 30 seconds

  2. 8 second and stir slowly

  3. 2-3 minutes

  4. I usually let it steep for about 5 to 6 minutes but of course there's no set answer to how long to leave a tea bag in to make perfect tea.  Not everyone likes it the same strength.  My favorite tea is raspberry... love it.

  5. i like strong tea so 1 and a half to 2 mins.

  6. 2 minutes but  if you put the tea bag in the glass ing the microwave it gives more flavor

  7. it depends on how dark you like your tea

books on tea say that average tea in America is steeped to a reddish brown color.

But i friend in England uses 5 times as much tea per cup as i do, and thinks is should turn almost black - as dark as dark coffee.

so - what do you like??????

  8. Sometimes I like me tea strong and will leave the bag in for several minutes, or even while I'm drinking it.  Generally I use very hot (boiling) water, then add the tea bag and let it steep for about 2 minutes.  If I'm adding honey or milk I do so near the end of the steeping period.  The more water the longer I leave the tea bag in.  Also watch for the color.  It's better to understeep than to oversteep!

One of my co-workers, a tea afficiando and librarian suggests the website listed below...

    Happy tea drinking!

  9. It depends on how many times the tea bag has been used previously. Mind you, I do like my tea the way I like my women: hot, sweet & weak. ;-)

  10. It has to be Rooibos tea and I like my teabag to be left in for quite a while, about nine or ten minutes.  Then it is palatable.  There must be no sugar, nor milk.

  11. It really depends on what kind of tea you are drinking and the quality. I like to drink black tea and I brew it till it reaches a nice rich color. With experience you can tell what color is the right hue. Usually not more than one minute when using boiling water.

  12. Just until it gets to a light brown, if you leave it in there too long it will become bitter.

Less than three minutes depending on what kind of tea.

  13. one shovel (not tea spoons) of tea leaves per person (plus one for the pot) into a teapot. Pour over freshly boiled water.

LEAVE TO BREW FOR AROUND 4 MINUTES.

Pour tea into cup using a tea strainer =

The best cup of tea you have ever had in your life. Trust me - buy some tea leaves, and try them yourselves. I recommend Sainsbury's Red Label. They are fair trade, and not measly weak like the PG Tips I used to buy.

  14. Depends how strong you want the tea. It can be few minutes or forever. But real tea drinker don't take tea out of it's cup, since they know perfectly how much tea they want put into the cup. As a Chinese tea drinker, I first boil the water, after I have the boiled water poured into my tea cup with tea there( not tea bag), the tea leaves will swim to the top and then gradually expend. After it expended, the leaves will started to sink down to the bottom. Wait 1 minute after all the tea leaves completely sick down to the bottom of the cup. Now, it's the time to drink your tea.

  15. That all depends on how strong you like your tea & the make of the tea bags!!

I just leave the tea bag in until it looks like a good shade while I'm stirring it :D

  16. Two or three minutes if it's ordinary (real!) tea ! ! !
