  1. It depends on the hardness of the glass, the size and hardness of the abrasive, and the rotation characteristics of tumbler - anything from a few days to weeks.


  2. I would rather go to a glass maker and melt the glass and pour it into blobs to form something similar and maybe sandblast it. You get glass grinders and polishers but then you might as well buy something similar.
