i just got a job and its ok i'm not expecting to stay there longer than a year since it has nothing to do with what i want to do with my life. im an administrative assistant...totally not close to what i want to do... i want to work in event planning.. i mean the pay isn't even that great. $12 p.h it's not even a salaried position.

everyone on here is saying stay at your job 1-3 years.. 3 years are you crazy!?! i could have a decent job in what i want to do in that long, i just feel like im wasting all my skills and ambitions just doing this.

  1. Don't waste your time and passion on a JOB...use it in your CAREER.  Just work to gather enough funds to seek what you really want.  People there are telling you 1-3 years because maybe they couldn't find better...or there is a personal interest in having you there.  Think of the admin assist as your transitioning job..or the bridge to get you where you're really hoping to be.  I wish you well. :)
