How long do you study to become a nutritionist?

Question

I would like to know how long one would study to become a qualified nutritionist or dietitian if in Scotland? What would be the best option - doing it through a university or will college suffice? Does anybody know if there are good employment opportunities within this area in Scotland? What would the course to follow exactly be called?
