I want to start playing the violin again after nearly 6years, how long do you think will take for me to learn the basics, I played for six years before I stopped.

  2. It really depends on how much you retained from back when you used to play. It could take any amount of time, i recommend just diving back into the instrument. You may find you didn't lose your spark with it. Just continue praciticing, and anything you lost should come back in due time

    Trust me, piano is the same way...

  3. it may only take an hour or maybe a day! but you really need to practice a lot..don't stop anymore...what you've started would just be wasted..i advice you to keep practicing...you'll get better and better!

  4. probably not long, if you had six years experience prior to that break you should recover in no time. Maybe if you have some old sheet music go over it to get farmilliar with the violin again. good luck! :)
