Most likely late spring unless the Russian aggression vs Georgia patches the speculation bubble; then it will start up in a few weeks.

Right after Labor Day, gas prices will drop significantly. I can't tell you how much as it varies year to year. There are two main reasons for this. One, the refineries start to come off their summer blend of gasoline and start to make winter blend. The winter blend is cheaper to make.

The other reason is that people drive less in the fall. By labor day, all kids are back in school and people aren't traveling as much.

The price will most likely not go up again until the around next Memorial Day where the refineries have to go back to the summer blend and people start driving more for summer vacations.
