In this article it says that Harbhajan MAY be banned for either...5 test matches,10 One day Internationals OR be BANNED for life....http://au.sports.yahoo.com/cricket/news/article/-/2826588/indian-spinner-harbhajan-faces-ban-slapping-row

Which do you think the most appropriate punishment?...

And yes i would love to say Ban him for life, but we have to look at this single incident-not past offensive behavious...

Well i would say ban him from the 5 test matches....That should get up his nose enough for him to realise he is an Idiot....

  1. I heared from a indian friend here in sydney that he is ban for 10 matches..

  2. Well i have been "banned" for life,so yeah BAN him too....

He is a big mouth with a very bad personality disorder....

  3. Well many non-Indians feel that way and basing it on the

episode he has in Australia. A life ban - too much to ask for the

crime. Even though I may not mind it, giving him a life ban.

He is a r****d and a jerk and he needs to be punished heavily

and hope he will learn from it - as well as others who offend like

him should also be punished. I have no sympathy for any player

who goes and attack his teammate or opponent physically.

My personal opinion is to ban him for a year and that would be

pretty good time to serve and also add for him to prove that he

has taken the anger management classes and can handle

such situations well. This I am going to provide him with a

second chance and it will be the last in his case.....

He has turned out more than an idiot.....he has put all the

Indian cricketers and fans alike in shame....

I would say just dump him and he is no longer needed.

  4. Actually assaulting another cricketer is a crime which could be met with life time ban. But i don't think Harbhajan will get that.Yeah, may be a ban for 10 ODIs and 5 test matches.

If you look at his past bahaviors which is none too good,he should be banned for life. But as you said,if we look at this single incident,he may just get away with ban from a few matches.

I think he deserved something like this way back in Australia when he abused Symonds racially. He got away with it only because of Sachin's testimony to his innocence. This time there was no Sachin to speak up for him because the cameras saw it all.

  5. im from australia but i think a cricketer of his class will never be banned for life, h**l probably get a few months then an appeal to shorten it maybe?

  6. well well well, when harbhajan gets banned lets see who takes his place? its a joke maybe india will not win any matches and we will see who will be crying for him to return.

  7. Yeah, for you it's very easy to say -BAN HIM FOR LIFE.

    If that happens-'WE RIOT'

Harbhajan deserves a punishment but not that much.

A suspension of 5-10 matches would be fine.

And Sreesanth should also be suspended for 5 matches at least.

Harbhajan is a champion cricketer and will fight back into our team.

  8. ban him from ipl for all the editions
