On a one-on-one tutorial with a male BJJ instructor in a dojo. Like, Saturday mornings. Once a week; four times a month.

How long do you think it will take him to get to a legit yellow belt level?

  1. Original BJJ schools dont have yellow belt, and many schools split the white belt into levels. Blue belt is the second-level belt.

It shouldnt take less than a year, 3-4 classes a week to get to blue belt.

Math: At 4 classes a week for a whole year, thats 208 classes a year to reach blue belt. At 1 class a week, that will be 48 classes a year. It will take you about 4 1/2 years to make it to blue belt.

  2. a long time

the average time to move up a belt is 1 to 2 years

and most people go 2 or 3 times a week
