How long do you wait to eat regular food after a biopsy on your esophagus?

I had one last Thursday. It feels a little scratchy.

  1. Was the biopsy done during an endoscopy? You didn't say. If it was you should be able to eat regular food. It's been four days, and tissue biopsies of the esophagus are so small you can barely see them. Again, if you had an endoscopy you can expect your throat to be a little scratchy from the gastroscope the doctor put down it.  


  2. This is something you really need to ask your doctor, not the internet. Only he will know how big the biopsy was and how long the healing time should be.

    e- if the doctor gave you no restrictions, then you should feel free to eat whatever you want.
