How long do you wear braces for?

I just got braces off but I now have the plate. And I hate bracers and having wires in my mouth, so annoying!

Braces - 2 years - done

Plate - 3 months - still going

Top Back Wire - 2 years - still going

Bottom Back Wire - 7 Years - still going

depends....i only needed mine for a year, but one of my friends had had has his for 3 years now....while another friend started with braces then had a permanent retainer put in on the bottom....some people need to fix an over/under bite or just need to fill in a gap, so it all depends on the person

i have braces  and my dentist says i will only need them for about 2 years.. some of my friends only had them on for a year and others had them on for 4 years so it all depends on how fast your teeth move and how crooked they are

depends on what your ortho says.. just got mine off recently and its definitely worth it.. wore it for like 1 1/2 yrs.. dont worry.. itll be over before you know it(=

it depends on the treatment you're on. if you have the old style wires kind then it's usually ! 16-18months. if you have the new invisaline  treatment it's ~22-24months. as for me i'm only having mine for 12 months cuhs i didn't really need it. lol.
