How long do all of the processes of cellular respiration take from start to finish under normal circumstances?

The time frame that it takes for the entire process of cellular respiration to occur is difficult to measure due to all the enzymatic reactions involved.  The rate of individual enzymes in the process catalyze their reactions has been measured in vitro (in a "test tube"), but these values may not be directly representative of their speed in vivo (in the living cell).

    If pressed for an answer I would guess that the process for conversion of glucose to carbon dioxide takes less than a millisecond.  One may be able to measure the speed by performing a pulse chase experiment using carbon-13 labeled glucose and measuring rate at which carbon-13 labeled carbon dioxide accumulates.
