How long does USPS take to deliver a package?

I ordered an item online from a city no too far from where I live, maybe about 50 miles. The package shipped regular mail (2-9 Days). I have the tracking number and have been looking it up regularly. It shipped Aug. 1st and it's now Aug. 7th, the tracking number still says "In Transit" and it has been in the same city where it was mailed since Aug. 1st. Why is USPS still holding the package there? Why don't they shipped already, I'm not that far.

  1. the Usps takes anywhere from 7 to14  business days. the tracking info on the usps site is not updated regularly. so when you check your not seeing move by move like with Ups.

try to be patient and your pack will get there. if after 14 days  have passed and you  still haven't recieved your package

call the company that you ordered from and they will contact the usps to file a tracer to look for the package.

if its still not found they will resend the item to you.
