How long does USPS take to ship an item from China to America?

i just ordered something off a site and its coming from China but im not quite sure how many days it will take to get here..any ideas?

  1. USPS doesn't ship from china.  China post or the equivalent ships it out and USPS doesn't take responsibility until it hits the US.  I ordered something from Hong Kong and it took about 3 weeks.
