  1. First off, the 4 cylinders will overall outlast the V-6. Secondly, it does matter on how you treat them. Overall specs of Toyota verses Honda in that year, Honda never could compete. Careful on what you choose.  They are good cars, but life expectancy is around 250,000 before major repairs. Just don't use penzoil motor oil. I have seen and heard to many things about it. Use havoline, castrol or valvoline conventional, not synthetic. Havoline oil got me 297,000 all original hardcore racing miles out of my 94 Toyota truck, then I sold it and I am riding my other 94 Toyota truck. It was running, honestly, better that a new one, and 400k hardcore miles out of my 86 Toyota. Great oil that really does oil. God Bless and good luck.....

  2. Hondas last forever (not really) but they last a long time.. If you take care of it you could probaly get 300,000

  3. Take a look a the DriverSide cost of ownership - service, gas, insurance and even depreciation to see how the price will drop over time.  I find that most folks look at the one time sales price - not the ongoing costs which continue long after you buy your car.

  4. Most cars will last 200.000 miles, with minimum maintenance... oil and filter changes every 5000 miles, and follow the mfg's maintenance schedule.......

    and of course, driven gently...
