How long does a analogue audio mixer last?

I bought this small home recording studio sized behringer 12-input mixer in 06.. and it stopped working correctly.. The warranty ran out after a year. Is it normal for a mixer to only last about 2 years? Or is this just a bad brand of mixers that dont last long.

It should last longer than that.  I have owned many Behringer mixers over the years.  Most are still working perfectly.

My only problem with them is that they need to be plugged into a surge protector.  I have had two Behringer mixers that had problems after my building experienced an electrical storm.  I now have every component in my audio system protected.  I have had no problems since.

There are better small mixers out there...you might want to try Mackie or Allen & Heath.
