  1. Four hours give or take maybe 30 or 45 minutes. The number of cautions can make a big difference.

  2. I began recording the times at the Invocation of the race at 2:03 PM, and stopped at the waving of the checkered flag at 5:51 PM (all times are EST). I did not keep records for the pre- and post-race coverage.

Fox was the broadcaster for this event.

Please note that in addition to the commercials and promos listed below there is always a sponsor’s logo that changes throughout the race in the corner of the screen beside the race ticker.

Throughout the breakdown, you can find links to sponsors, or special items-of-interest such as links to contests and movie sites. At the very bottom you can check how many times selected drivers were focused on during the race.

  3. about 72 hours minimal ,thats including the all weekend party . the actual race is what your asking though around 3 and a half hours depending on cautions

  4. 3-4 hours depending on cautions, red flags, rain delays.  If you are going to set aside a time just make it all day and keep an eye on the weather channel.

  5. Depends on cautions and red flags if any. Also if any rain comes and delays the race.

But a nice day, and a typical race about 4 hours. That's like at Texas, and Bristol.

  6. Somewhere in the neighborhood of 3 to 5 hours.

  7. A race with good side-by-side action all the way around the track usually doesn't last long enough (Bristol, Talladega, Daytona) then some races like Darlington and Dover seem to drag on endlessly.

But if you're wanting time by the clock...then 3 1/2 to 4 hours is a safe bet.

  8. Usually they take around 3.5 to 4 hours.

  9. Texas is always a 500-mile race with not-too-many cautions, so usually around 4 hrs there and tracks like it...For the 400-mile races, about 3 hrs

  10. Til the finish.

  11. It depends on how many cautions there are. Usually a Nascar race takes somewhere in the 4 hour range. I'd say it's the best value for your money in professional sports.
