  1. Criminal charges will stay on your record forever. It will show the charge was dismissed, but it will always be there. You can petition a Judge to have the record expunged. That would remove it. Unless it was a felony, you don't need to tell a potential employer.

  2. The charge remains part of your criminal history, but you are only required to disclose convictions to your employer.

There will be an entry on your record that state something explaining you were not found guilty, and should be presumed innocent.

  3. You've used the British spelling of the word "offence" so if you're in the UK you need to tell people that.

Even if you're in the US, you need to tell people what state to get the best possible answer.

I would agree with others as to some things.  If you were arrested, the arrest will likely stay on your record forever.  The dismissal will be on your record as long as the arrest is, or, if there was no arrest, it will likely be there forever as well.  Knowing what the charges were and what state you are talking about would help know for certain.

Depending on who you potential employer is, you may or may not have to disclose this information.  If you are applying for a job in law enforcement, for example, you need to disclose it no matter what.  If you're applying for a job with McDonald's, then I doubt you have to disclose it.

  4. stays on for life...and yes u will have to tell potential employer

  5. expunge that S**t and youre clear hommie!

  6. A criminal conviction is spent after 8 years therefore you do not have to declare it to an employer.

A prison record will stay for life and does have to be declared.

If you are under 18 it will be removed at 18

    Hope this helps
