  1. It is still about three days. If you have a cheque, and you want to access the funds straightaway, deposit it into your credit card account. You may then find that you have access to those funds immediately.  This works for me I Australia.

In any case it is better to deposit cheques into your credit card account (if you owe money) as that is usually charging a much higher rate of interest on those borrowed funds.

  2. i think it is still three days

  3. 3 clear working days.

  4. A clearing bank will have your money in your account in 3 days.

Some banks and most building societies will take 5 days.

  5. 3 days sometimes 4. Working days that is!

  6. Still a minimum of 3 days but could be more if a weekend intervenes.

  7. They turn around and tell you the Maxim time which is 5working days but usually it clears in 3

  8. It depends on the account it is being paid into. At the bank where i work, some accounts have cheque clearance time of 3 working days, some are 10 days.

Also cheques actually take about 28 days to clear, meaning they can be returned unpaid even after the money has been deposited in the account. They clear quicker as a goodwill gesture from the bank to the customer.

  9. Its three working days (not weekends). Also its best to wait 4 to five days before you use the money from the cheque as it can be returned unpaid.

  10. 3 full working days, so if you pay in a cheque on a Friday, you usually can't draw on it 'til the following Thursday. Unless you have a prior arrangement with your bank.

  11. a cheque isn't entirely clear until after 6 working days as a charge back can be performed within this time
