  1. Most colubrids are considered adults at around 3-4 years old.  Growth depends upon many factors though. Frequency of feeding, food item quality and genetics.  Less frequent food, means slower growth. Some types of corns tend to run larger than other types. My locality Okeetees are much larger than my other cornsnakes.  My amel (albino) was also quite large.  Snakes grow continuously thru their lives although after they reach adult age, it's more in millimeters than inches as they do when babies.  Frequent, gentle handling should help tame your young snake.  Some take some time to get over being fearful. Since I have many snakes, I usually just leave those alone and only handle them on occasion. Somewhere around their second year, they will calm down on their own.

  2. Well if you are taking care of it correctly(right cage and stuff) then it would take around 5-8 years. It depends on how you take care of him/her. There isn't really an exact time, it depends on the snake and their growth rate really. Some snakes takes longer to grown compare to others. Sorry if this couldn't help you too much.

  3. My anery corn snake is about full length, but he is going to get thicker.

He is about 3 years old, and about 4' 6".

There are exceptions, but it should apply to most.

Tell me what you are doing when it strikes at you, it might be a common problem.

    Alex
