How long does a credit account need to be open to rebuild your credit?

it is a vague question. It takes time to reflect the good stuff you have done. Usually 1-2 years of good timely payments will contibute very nicely towards your credit. The older it is the better it is. 15% of your credit score is the length of your oldest open account.
