How long does a deposited check from a different (local) bank usually take to clear....

i dep. it on sat 8-2 and it's mon 8-4 (4:15) and still nothing.

it's not like it's a bank from out of state....what the heck is the delay? funny how if this check was written to a store - they would have already cleared it by now...hmp! i just hate sooo many things about banks nowadays.

3-5 biz daes.  2 Aug=Saturdae...NOT a werking dae.  Dae 1=Mondae,

dae 3=Wednesdae.

& remember Banks alwaes "kredit" yer akkount as av midnite av that dae, so it take til start av next dae for yu tu get yer hands on it.

you shouldn't have to wait for the check to clear if you have that amount in the account or your bank contact the bank on that check if their is fund but good luck for I my self I wrote out a check to my owe bank appling for an  overdraft credit card and it been a week and it has not cleared I also hate banking now a days
